Leaving Ko Chang we set out for Sri Racha. Unfortunately we missed our stop and ended up in Bangkok. So we decided to skip Sri Racha and continue onto our next destination which was Surat Thani. Waiting for our train departure we wandered down to a Snake Farm and watched the show.

We booked third class tickets on an overnight train to Surat Thani. I don't recommend this to anyone. The benchs are hard, your knees are right again the knees of the person across from you and if it's an overnight-ride the aisle is probably full of people sleeping on newspapers. But it got us there. In about 13 hours.

We killed a few days in Surat Thani before splitting up for a while. Wandered out to the TAT office (Tourist Authority of Thailand) to get advice on our seperate destinations. Went to see Lord of the Rings which was dubbed in Thai. Watched dozens of rats eating garbage at night on the street where the market convenes during the daytime.
